President Mr. Pashupati Dev Pandey attended the TIFA Council Meeting in Kathmandu on 19 May 2023. This meeting held discussions on the prevailing conditions of RMGs exports to USA and possible growth in the future. President Pandey urged USTR trade representatives from USA to consider fast moving and core competence items in the NTPP Act so that Nepalese garments will have more access in the US markets like in the 1990s. This provision will reduce our trade deficit in the international market, generate more employment in the country and earn foreign currency to boost national economy.
