Nepalese Association of Financial Journalists (NAFIJ) held an interaction program to highlight the role of export industries in earning foreign exchange in the country. Mr. Ashok Kumar Agrawal , General Secretary in the Garment Association Nepal presented a paper dwelling on the current situation of Nepali garments vis-a-vis the development of the garments industry in Bangladesh and drawn the attention of the government in responding various policy measures and the facilities to rehabilitate and promote the industry in the country.
Likewise, Mr. Rabi Sainju, former joint secretary in Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Supplies ( MoICS) presented a paper on Export trade for reducing high trade deficit .In the program Mr, Chandra Kumar Ghimire, former secretary in MoICS and Senior business person Mr. Pawan Kumar Golyan commented on the papers. Senior Advisor in the Ministry of Finance, officials from the government , representatives from various umbrella organizations in the private sector and commodity associations and journalists from the print and electronic media were present in the meeting. GAN President Mr. Chandi Prasad Aryal and other officials in the association`s executive committee were also present. Mr.Mod Nath Dhakal , President of NAFIJ was the moderator in the aforesaid program.
