A high-level discussion on the status, challenges, and opportunities of Nepal’s readymade garment industry was organized at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies on April 14, 2025 (2082 Baisakh 2). Attendees included Hon. Minister Mr. Damodar Bhandari, Chief Economic and Development Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada, ministry secretaries, GAN President Mr. Pashupati Dev Pandey, General Secretary Bhim Kumar Giri, and private sector representatives. The need for establishing a Textile and Clothing Development Council was also discussed.
