On October 15, 2025 (Ashoj 29, 2082), the Garment Association Nepal (GAN), in collaboration with SAWTEE, organized a Policy Dialogue on the theme “Developing Competitiveness and Promoting Apparel Exports.”
On the occasion, GAN President Mr. Pashupati Dev Pandey delivered welcome remarks, highlighting the need for cooperation between the government and the private sector to reduce transportation costs, enhance competitiveness, and promote Nepali-made garments internationally through participation in trade fairs. He expressed confidence that the outcomes of the dialogue would contribute to policy formulation.
The program, moderated by SAWTEE Executive Director Mr. Paras Kharel, featured presentations by Mr. Suyash Khanal, Chief Executive Officer of GAN; Mr. Rajan Sharma, Transport Expert; and Professor Roshee Lamichhane from Kathmandu University.
The event was attended by GAN First Vice President Mr. Basanta Raj Adhikari, executive committee members, representatives from the Government of Nepal, private sector, and various labour organizations.
