Mr. Bhim Kumar Giri, General Secretary of the Garment Association Nepal (GAN), participated in the Budget Policy Dialogue for Fiscal Year 2083/84 organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
The program was held under the chief presence of Hon. Swarnim Wagle, Finance Minister of Nepal, and brought together representatives from the private sector and business community to discuss key aspects of the upcoming fiscal year’s budget and economic policies.
The dialogue provided an important platform for stakeholders to exchange views on industrial development, private-sector growth, investment, trade, and export promotion, as well as policy measures required to strengthen Nepal’s economic competitiveness.
Mr. Giri’s participation represented the interests and perspectives of Nepal’s readymade garment industry in the budget policy consultation process. The participation also reflects GAN’s continued engagement in policy discussions aimed at creating a more conducive business environment and promoting industrial and export growth.
GAN continues to advocate for policies that strengthen the competitiveness of Nepal’s readymade garment sector, reduce the cost of doing business, improve market access, and support sustainable export growth.
