The Garment Association Nepal (GAN), in collaboration with The Woolmark Company, Australia, organized a program on “Wool Insights & Innovations” on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Welcoming the participants, Mr. Pashupati Dev Pandey, President of GAN, highlighted the importance of the program in the context of Nepal’s upcoming graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) category. He emphasized the need for the Nepali garment industry to pay greater attention to evolving global requirements related to quality, compliance, and transparency in order to remain competitive in international markets.
Mr. Pandey stated that initiatives such as the Wool Insights & Innovations program could contribute to enhancing production capacity, promoting new materials, and creating new business opportunities for Nepali manufacturers. He also emphasized the importance of developing innovative wool-based products to strengthen the competitiveness and marketability of Nepal’s readymade garment industry.
