A delegation from the Garment Association Nepal, led by President Mr. Pashupati Dev Pandey and General Secretary Mr. Bhim Kumar Giri, met with Mr. Greg Klemm, Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy in Nepal. The meeting focused on strengthening trade relations between Nepal and Australia, addressing challenges in the export of Nepali ready-made garments, and exploring opportunities for enhanced trade facilitation and cooperation.
The delegation highlighted the potential of Nepal's garment sector and shared ongoing efforts to boost exports to Australia and other global markets. Discussions also covered policy-level support and the importance of improving market access for Nepali products.
During the meeting, the delegation informed the Embassy about Nepal’s upcoming participation in the Global Sourcing Expo 2025, to be held in Sydney from June 17 to 19, 2025. Organized under the coordination of the Garment Association Nepal, the expo aims to showcase Nepal’s quality garment products to international buyers and enhance Nepal’s visibility in the global sourcing landscape.
The Embassy appreciated the initiative and expressed interest in fostering further collaboration to promote trade and investment between the two countries.
