GARMENT ASSOCIATION NEPAL (GAN)

INTRODUCTION

Garment Association of Nepal (GAN) was established in the year 1987 with an aim of protecting the interest of entrepreneurs engaged in the production and exports of Readymade garments (RMGs) and contributing towards the national economy.

GAN is a Non-Profit umbrella organization of the garment industries focused on production as well as the exports of the apparels in the international market. Importantly, it engages in advocating policy measures for the overall development of the industry and lobbies for a better working environment.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

The Readymade garments (RMG) manufacturing were initially promoted by the business people from neighboring countries in mid 1980s in Nepal to take an advantage of quota free access provided by the industrialized countries including the United States of America.
